Criminal Records Access in Pasco County

The Florida Division of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) serves as the central repository for criminal history information across the state. These records reflect every instance a person has interfaced with the criminal justice system. However, criminal court records specific to Pasco County are maintained exclusively by the Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller’s Office. Pasco County Probate Records

The Pasco County Circuit Court Probate Division handles all matters related to estates, guardianships, trusts, and mental health. Records of these cases are publicly available upon request. Pasco County Family Court Records

The Pasco County Circuit Court Family Division hears domestic matters, including adoption, domestic violence, alimony, annulment, child custody & visitation, child support, divorce, name change, and paternity. The Clerk & Comptroller’s Office maintains records of these domestic cases and makes some of them available to the public online and in person at the records retention facilities. Users can search by person or case and narrow the results by selecting ’Domestic Relations/Family (DR)’ from the Court Type drop-down.

Paper copies of family court records are available to members of the public at the Clerk & Comptroller’s Office records centers in Dade City and New Port Richey. The centers open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Requesters are advised to call ahead of their visits to request a family court file if they know the case numbers, and to arrive at the records center before 3 p.m. The clerk charges a small fee for copies of records.

Federal Court Records in Pasco County

The United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida is the federal court that serves Pasco County. The court issues copies of documents filed in a federal case in person and by mail at the clerk’s office in the Tampa Division. Mail requesters should send a written request with a self-addressed, stamped envelope and the appropriate fee. The clerk charges up to $0.50 a page for copies of federal court records. Acceptable payment methods include cash (exact amount only), certified bank checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders. Interested persons can also access federal court records on the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) database. They must create an account and log in to the portal using a secure username and password. Access to case information via this portal costs up to $0.10 per page.
